Engine Differences

Some people i move around about , dont know the difference between the engines of the same make and model

when i was with a friend of mine he didn't know that a car company provides different engines for the same model of the car and i was a bit surprised by that because i though people knew at least this but i found out that most of the people don't know this ! 

so i though i explain a bit !

lets take the example of toyota company in our country !

Here they provide 3 different engines for the new Toyota Corolla

1. 1.3 liter with a Manuel Transmission
2. 1.6 liter with a Manuel and  Automatic Transmission
3. 1.8 liter with a Automatic Transmission with Cruise Control

so what the difference between these engines well the first one is the smallest engine of the three because it can only take 1.3 liters of air and fuel mixture in total !how come because its cylinder size is smaller then the other two ! in the second Engine the intake size is increased , the block and the head r all the same even the crank shaft is same only the diameter of the cylinder is bigger and the piston r a bit wider then the first one !

now for the biggest engine , As always it has the same things in it the same sensors the same block and the same head expect this has the biggest diameter and pistons of all the engines thus it has increased power then the other two !  The only Big  difference is that it has some thing Called a Cruise control which only replaces the throttle body with a one that is cableless because in cruise control the throttle is opened by a stepper motor instead of a accelerator cable !
